Understanding It

Anxiety is more than worry

Anxiety can feel physical and constant: a mind that won't switch off, a body that stays tense, sleep that doesn't come easily. A panic attack can arrive suddenly, with a racing heart and a wave of fear, even when there is no real danger. None of it means something is wrong with you, and none of it has to be carried alone.

What We See

Different forms it can take

01

Generalised anxiety

Worry that feels constant and hard to switch off, often with restlessness, physical tension and disturbed sleep.

02

Panic & panic disorder

Sudden, intense surges of fear with strong physical symptoms, and the worry about when the next one might come.

03

Specific & social anxiety

Anxiety focused on particular situations, social settings or health, that can quietly narrow daily life.

Where anxiety is linked to past trauma, EMDR therapy may also be considered as part of your care.

How We Help

A plan built around you

Care begins with an unhurried assessment with Dr. Saal, to understand what you're experiencing and what may be contributing to it. From there, you'll have a plan shaped to your circumstances, which may combine talking therapy, practical strategies for managing symptoms and, where clinically appropriate, medication, always discussed with you fully.
