Frequently Asked Questions

IV Therapy
Clinical & Safety

Yes. All treatments at The Burlington Clinic are consultant-led and administered by experienced medical professionals. We adhere to rigorous Harley Street standards, including comprehensive pre-screening and continuous vital sign monitoring throughout your session.

Our specialist infusions and EMDR protocols are primarily used for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, and PTSD. A specialist clinical assessment is required to determine eligibility and ensure the treatment is appropriate for your specific medical history.

Logistics & Practicalities

No. For your safety, we require that you have a pre-arranged chaperone or professional car service to take you home. You should not drive, operate heavy machinery, or make significant life decisions for 24 hours following your treatment.

While some patients experience immediate shifts in perspective, clinical evidence suggests that a programme of 4 to 8 sessions provides the most durable neuroplastic benefits. Your individual roadmap will be discussed during your initial consultation.

Our residential service currently covers Greater London and the Home Counties. For locations further afield, please contact our team to discuss the feasibility of a bespoke clinical outreach visit.

Investment & Insurance

While many UK insurers cover psychiatric consultations, specialised IV therapy is often considered a self-pay treatment. We can provide detailed invoices if you wish to seek reimbursement from your provider independently.

EMDR Therapy

The duration of EMDR therapy varies depending on the complexity of the trauma. While some single-event traumas can be processed in 6–10 sessions, complex PTSD or long-standing emotional distress may require a longer-term roadmap.

Yes. Clinical research shows that EMDR is highly effective via secure video consultation. We utilise specialised digital bilateral stimulation tools for remote processing.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR does not require you to describe the traumatic event in exhaustive detail. You only need to hold the memory in mind while the bilateral stimulation helps your brain process.

ADHD Assessment

Many high-achieving individuals find their cognitive potential doesn't align with daily output. We identify the "Compensatory Cycle" — relying on adrenaline to overcome task paralysis — and provide a clinical framework to stabilise performance.

Yes. The DIVA-5 is the gold standard diagnostic interview for adult ADHD. Our assessment ensures a robust, recognised lifetime diagnosis, conducted within the clinical framework of 10 Harley Street.

Your bespoke management plan, including pharmacological guidance and coaching pathways, is delivered via our secure portal within 7 days of your consultation.
